Shafaqna Institute for Middle East Studies

The Shafaqna Institute for Middle East Studies is a UK-based think tank affiliated with the Shafaqna media network, which takes a Shia-oriented and broadly Tehran-sympathetic editorial position on Middle Eastern affairs. The institute produced analysis on the Yemeni civil war, Gulf politics, and Iranian foreign policy, often framing events in alignment with Iranian state narratives. It provided an institutional platform for analysts publishing in pro-Iran media ecosystems during the 2010s.
