Soura University
دانشگاه سوره NGO Founded 1992 · Part of Islamic Propaganda Organization
Soura University (دانشگاه سوره) is an arts and communications university in Tehran affiliated with the Islamic Propaganda Organization (Sazman-e Tabligh-e Eslami), which operates under the Supreme Leader. Founded in 1992, the university focuses on fine arts, cinema, theatre, graphic design, and communications — disciplines through which the regime cultivates culturally and ideologically aligned creative talent. Mohammad-Ali Zam, the reformist cultural official and father of executed journalist Ruhollah Zam, served as the university's president, reflecting the institution's position at the intersection of regime cultural policy and reformist-conservative tensions.
