The Toilers' Party of Iran (Hezb-e Zahmatkeshan-e Mellat-e Iran) was a nationalist political party founded and led by Mozaffar Baghai in 1951 as a constituent member of the National Front. The party was strongly nationalist and anti-communist, drawing on urban lower-middle-class and bazaari support. It was initially a firm backer of Mossadegh's oil nationalisation campaign. However, Baghai broke with Mossadegh in 1953, and accusations later emerged that he had collaborated with the royalist forces backing the 1953 Iranian coup d'état. The party dissolved after the coup. It should not be confused with the Komala Toilers Party (Zehmetkêshan), which is a separate Kurdish party of the same period.
