Ahmad Alam al-Huda

Ahmad Alam al-Huda is the hardline Friday Prayer Imam of Mashhad, appointed by Ali Khamenei as his personal representative in Razavi Khorasan Province. He is the father-in-law of Ebrahim Raisi — Raisi married his daughter Jamileh Alamolhoda. He supervised Saeed Jalili's doctoral dissertation at Imam Sadeq University, and his sermons from Mashhad's Friday prayer platform have long served as a barometer of the hardliner wing's positions on domestic and foreign policy.
