Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Daryani

Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Daryani was a professor of nuclear engineering at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. He was killed on 13 June 2025 in Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran's nuclear infrastructure and scientific community — the opening attacks of Operation Rising Lion.

Note: He is a distinct individual from Ebrahim Zolfaghari (the IRGC military spokesperson) — different person, different background.
