Ezzatollah Sahabi

Son of Yadollah Sahabi. Co-founder of the Freedom Movement of Iran. He was elected to the Assembly of Experts for the Constitution in 1979, representing Tehran Province, where he opposed the concentration of power in the velayat-e faqih provisions. Imprisoned 3 times under the Pahlavi regime (10.8 years total) and twice under the Islamic Republic (1.3 years). Active in nationalist-religious opposition politics. Co-founded the Council of Nationalist-Religious Activists in 2000.
