Mohammad Jafar Sahraroudi was an Iranian intelligence operative identified by Austrian investigators as a member of the Iranian delegation present at the apartment in Vienna on 13 July 1989, when PDKI leader Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou and two companions were assassinated in the Ghassemlou assassination. Austrian authorities named Sahraroudi as a suspect but controversially allowed him and the other Iranian delegation members to leave the country. He was linked to the Ministry of Intelligence and operated under the cover of peace negotiator. An Austrian arrest warrant was later issued but never executed.
