Mohsen Pak-Aeen is a veteran Iranian diplomat who served as ambassador to Zambia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, and the Republic of Azerbaijan. He served as Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan from 2012 to 2016, during which he was a visible public figure commenting on Iranian foreign policy, Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

After his ambassadorial career, Pak-Aeen was appointed Deputy International Affairs Adviser in the Office of the Supreme Leader, advising Ali Khamenei on international affairs. In August 2023, he publicly commented on Iran's cyber-attacks on Albania, framing the action as part of what he called Iran's 'dynamic and balanced diplomacy' under President Ebrahim Raisi.

Opposition and diaspora sources allege that Pak-Aeen's diplomatic postings involved liaison functions for the Ministry of Intelligence, though these claims have not been independently verified.

Pak-Aeen has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs across multiple decades, holding posts in at least four countries before moving to the Supreme Leader's office.
