Mostafa Zahrani

Mostafa Zahrani served as head of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' in-house think tank. He oversaw the Iran Experts Initiative, serving as the main liaison between the network of Western-based academics and Mohammad Javad Zarif's Foreign Ministry. Leaked emails showed that IEI members such as Ali Vaez shared article drafts with Zahrani before publication, and that Ariane Tabatabai consulted him on conference attendance and engagements with Israeli and Saudi counterparts.
