Jomhouri-ye Eslami (جمهوری اسلامی) was founded on 30 May 1979 as the organ of the Islamic Republican Party. Managing director: Ali Khamenei. First editor-in-chief: Mir-Hossein Mousavi. The paper continued after the IRP's dissolution in 1987 and is classified as close to Rafsanjani's circle by the 2010s.
