Ministry of Housing and Urban Development

Iran's Ministry of Housing and Urban Development oversaw housing policy, urban planning, and construction regulation. Under Mohammad Saeedikia (2005–2009), the ministry launched the Mehr Housing project, a massive subsidized construction program targeting low- and middle-income households across over 1,100 cities. The ministry was merged with the Ministry of Roads in 2011 to form the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
