The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom (Jame'eh-ye Modarresin-e Howzeh-ye Elmiyyeh-ye Qom) is an influential association of Shia clerics based in the Qom seminary. Founded in 1961, it became a key vehicle for Ruhollah Khomeini's political movement and played a central role in the Iranian Revolution. The society's members dominated the Assembly of Experts for the Constitution in 1979 and have maintained significant influence over the Guardian Council and the Assembly of Experts. It is considered a conservative-to-hardline clerical body closely aligned with the ruling establishment.
