Tasnim News Agency is a hardline news agency closely affiliated with the IRGC, launched in 2012 as a complement to Fars News Agency. Together with Fars and Mashregh News, Tasnim forms an IRGC-aligned media triangle used for regime messaging, discrediting opposition figures, and publishing intelligence-style content. The agency produces multilingual output and has been sanctioned by the United States.
