Abdul Rahman Haji Ahmadi

Abdul Rahman Haji Ahmadi is a prominent Iranian Kurdish political figure and one of the founders of PJAK (Partiya Jiyana Azad a Kurdistanê — Party of Free Life of Kurdistan), established in 2004. He has served as the organisation's Secretary-General and is its main public spokesperson. PJAK is ideologically and organisationally linked to the PKK and follows the democratic confederalism philosophy of Abdullah Öcalan. Haji Ahmadi has represented PJAK in international media and diplomatic channels, advocating for Kurdish self-governance within a decentralised Iranian political system. He operates from the Qandil Mountains along the Iraq-Iran border. Iran has designated him a terrorist and seeks his prosecution.
