Mehdi Ghazanfari is an Iranian politician and technocrat who served in Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's second cabinet, first as Minister of Commerce (2009–2011) and then as Minister of Industries, Mines and Business (2011–2013) after a ministry merger. A graduate of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, he later served as chairman of Iran's National Development Fund (NDF). Ghazanfari has IRGC ties from earlier in his career.
