Mohsen Paknejad

Mohsen Paknejad is Iran's current Minister of Petroleum, appointed by Masoud Pezeshkian in August 2024. A petroleum engineer, he previously served in various management roles within the national oil sector, including at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). His appointment was seen as a technocratic choice aimed at improving production efficiency and attracting investment to the oil sector.
