Abu Ali Reda Abbas

Abu Ali Reda Abbas is the current commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, appointed following the killing of Ibrahim Aqil in an Israeli airstrike in September 2024. Born in Barish in southern Lebanon around 1964, Abbas is a veteran Hezbollah military operative who worked closely with Aqil for decades. He survived an assassination attempt in the 1990s and is considered part of Hezbollah's third generation of commanders. Abbas reportedly holds a university degree and received advanced military training in Iran. He is recognized as a key operations officer within Hezbollah's southern command.
