Esmail Dehghan served as a senior commander in the IRGC Aerospace Force, representing the successor generation to Amir Ali Hajizadeh who was killed in June 2025. He was killed on 10 March 2026 during the March 2026 Strike Wave targeting the IRGC's reconstituted aerospace command.
