Alireza Bayat served as Deputy for Internal Security at the Supreme National Security Council. He was killed on 17 March 2026 in the same Israeli airstrike that killed Ali Larijani, as part of the March 2026 Strike Wave. The SNSC strike also killed Morteza Larijani and Ali Bateni.
