Morteza Larijani served as Assistant for Internal Security at the Supreme National Security Council, and was the son of Ali Larijani, the former Speaker of Parliament. He was killed on 17 March 2026 alongside his father in an Israeli airstrike, as part of the March 2026 Strike Wave. The strike also killed Alireza Bayat and Ali Bateni.
