Reza Naji was a major general in the Imperial Iranian Army who served as Military Governor of Isfahan during the final phase of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi's reign. In this role he was responsible for enforcing martial law in Isfahan during the revolutionary unrest of 1978–1979.

Following the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Naji was arrested and tried before Sadegh Khalkhali's Islamic Revolutionary Court. On the night of 15–16 February 1979, he was executed by firing squad on the rooftop of the Refah School in Tehran as part of the inaugural round of the post-revolution executions of 1979, alongside Nematollah Nassiri, Mehdi Rahimi, and Manouchehr Khosrodad.
